HOW MANY GUESTS CAN COME?
Athena can accommodate up to 12 guests.
WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?
Unfortunately, we cannot control mother nature. If conditions are deemed unsafe, your charter can or will be rescheduled.
CAN CHILDREN COME?
Children are more than welcomed aboard Athena.
ARE THERE BATHROOMS ON BOARD ATHENA?
Yes, Athena is equipped with 5 bathrooms.
WHAT IS A STANDARD GRATUITY FOR THE CREW?
Standard gratuity for the crew is 10 to 20 percent. For your convenience, gratuity can also be paid via credit card.
CAN I SMOKE ON ATHENA?
Smoking is prohibited inside Athena, there are however certain outside areas where smoking is permitted.
DO YOU OFFER OVERNIGHT CHARTERS?
Contact us for more information on a customized overnight charter. Destinations include the Dry Tortugas, Florida Keys, and Bahamas.
CAN I BRING MY FISHING GEAR?
At this time, Athena does not allow fishing on board.
WHAT HAPPENS IF WE ARRIVE LATE FOR OUR CHARTER?
Charter times are to be promptly adhered to. Tidal conditions can effect when Athena is able to depart. The captain and crew are there to service you. They will wait for you to arrive, however it will be deducted from your charter time providing that Athena may depart due to good tidal conditions.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE TO CANCEL MY CHARTER?
Charter cancellations are possible depending on how far in advance we are notified. Please contact us as soon as you are certain you have to cancel. Deposits are non-refundable.
HOW MANY CREW WILL BE ABOARD?
There will be 2 crew members - The Captain and 1st Mate.
CAN WE BRING OUR OWN FOOD AND DRINKS?
Yes, guests are more than welcome to bring their own food and drinks. Consider bringing items that you would bring to a picnic, that do not need to be cooked. We suggest such items as snacks, beverages, sandwiches, lunches, etc. We are also partnered up with some of our favorite private chefs and alcohol delivery services—and we’d be happy to connect you to them. We do provide water, soda, ice and beach towels. Don’t forget your favorite music playlist as we have Bluetooth capabilities available as well.
WILL ICE BE PROVIDED?
Yes, ice is provided for each charter.
WILL THE BOAT HAVE TOWELS?
Yes, the boat will provide towels for each guest on board.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
Athena accepts the following form of payments; ACH, Wire, Cash, and Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and Amex).
CAN I BRING MY PET ON BOARD?
Only service pets are allowed on board.
WHERE DO WE BOARD THE VESSEL?
Upon completion of your booking, an Athena crew member will reach out and provide all necessary information.
CAN WE COOK ON BOARD?
No cooking is permitted. Upon booking the charter you can request that a chef be included. However, we do have a microwave and oven to heat up pre-made meals.
CAN I CHARTER THE BOAT WITHOUT A CAPTAIN ON BOARD?
No, Athena is required to have licensed captain to charter the boat.
WHAT IS THERE TO DO ON A CHARTER?
There are many activities to do on a charter, some ideas include; cruising, sunbathing, water sport activities, relaxing, etc. For detailed activities please contact us.
